Over the past two years, in collaboration with the /r/blind community, we conducted a web accessibility survey across many online communities to gather feedback from individuals with disabilities about their web accessibility experiences and associated challenges. Over the course of 2023, despite platform concerns from Reddit regarding accessibility, the survey received over 1,200 submissions. This session will provide an in-depth look at the user experiences, feedback, and challenges users have around the accessibility of the web. The data and insights will cover the tools and combinations of assistive technology online users are utilizing, as well. The findings from the submissions can help you create better inclusive experiences and websites on WordPress.
