About Peter Ingersoll
Peter has been working on the web “since the beginning” where he was lucky enough to be part of a small group to develop online access to Connecticut’s major newspaper. While working in Marketing & Communications, he developed technical skills to connect and share information pulled from various data sources. That led to a career creating websites for other companies. While initially working in ColdFusion to build his own CMS, Peter discovered WordPress at version 3.0 and hasn’t looked back.
Peter currently builds and maintains sites for a variety of clients, with a focus on nonprofits. He is the co-organizer and presenter for the WordPress Hartford, CT MeetUp group. Peter considers himself an advocate for DIY WordPress site admins and non-coders. In recent years, website accessibility has become an important part of Peter’s always-developing skills. You can often find Peter in various WordPress MeetUp groups, online discussions, and lurking in several Make WordPress teams.
