As of this morning, we currently have 1,945 people from 72 countries registered for WordPress Accessibility Day 2024! 🎉
Last year, we had 2,154 attendees from 70 countries, so we have already expanded our geographic reach, though we have not yet surpassed our registrations from last year.
I thought it would be interesting to share what our current registrations by country look like. Location sharing is optional, so this data only represents a portion of the attendees. That said, it can give you a picture of where around the world our attendees are coming from.

Thoughts About Attendee Counts
There are many countries in our attendee list that only have one or two people registered for WordPress Accessibility Day. Even more have fewer than 10 people.
We know that over ten people in these countries work on websites, build with WordPress, or care about accessibility. 😉 However, as organizers, we don’t always know the best place to post to get the word out about our amazing, free online conference for countries we don’t live in. That’s where you can help.
How You Can Help
If you have time today, please help us promote WordPress Accessibility Day. We would love to see greater attendee representation outside the US and Canada. (Not that we don’t love attendees from North America, too!)
Here are ways you can help:
- Email colleagues a link to our website and encourage them to register.
- Post the event in any social media or Slack groups you’re part of.
- Share the event in your email newsletters or ask newsletters you subscribe to share it.
- Reshare our social media posts on your personal or company profile:
Think of this as the “bring a friend” challenge! If everyone brings one person with them to WordPress Accessibility Day, we’ll be able to surpass last year’s registration and further increase awareness of accessibility best practices on the web.
